2013 was a landmark year for Mexico. Five constitutional reforms that were implemented: labor reform, educational reform, telecommunications reform, political reform and energy reform.
In addition, three other important reforms were made under ordinary law: bankruptcy reform, financial services reform and fiscal reform.
These reforms increase the long-term potential growth of the country and bring it into the 21st century. Because of these momentous changes happening in Mexico, we're positive about Mexico's progress going forward and it's become one of our top foreign holdings.
Mexico has caught up with their peers in a short period of time, but now the hardest phase has kicked in – implementation.
